Apostolic Teams

SCPI's primary strategy is to identify, train, resource, and release apostolic/facilitation teams in pivot nations of the world which are mutually accountable with us to the purpose of seeing every man, woman & child in their nation given an opportunity to say yes or no to the gospel of Jesus Christ without going or coming anywhere.

As described through the eyes of one of our participating church pastors, "The job is:

  • To repurpose the local church around the mission mandate.
  • To re-tool local leaders and to become facilitative and equipping (as opposed to "doing").
  • To release and empower church members to use their gifts in the context of the mission.
  • To reach every man, woman and child with the gospel, and integrate them into repurposed churches."

HOW CAN YOU PARTNER WITH US?

“TELESCOPING” - PARTNERSHIPS FOR WORLD EVANGELIZATION

  1. It is a partnership of vision. Founded on Scripture, cooperation begins with an evangelism target that is bigger than both partners can accomplish alone. The agreement is fueled by the vision of seeing their target being evangelized and filled with healthy reproducing churches that take the Gospel to their people.
  2. It is co-owning, with a foreign church structure a God given outcome. Founded on the mandate of the Great Commission and placed on both partners' hearts by the Holy Spirit, the vision which drives the partnership can be tangibly measured.
  3. It affirms the primacy of indigenous responsibility. Both partners recognize and agree that the indigenous partner is the first entity of responsibility before God and within the partnership. Everything done will be motivated by this necessity and measured to protect its accomplishment.
  4. It is a sharing of resources. Resources are allocated by both partners with close attention paid to affirming indigenous responsibility and avoiding any form of paternalism.
  5. It is a better way to practice the 21st Century Matthew 28 mandate. Dramatic demographic changes of Christian and Church populations, coupled with the rising commitment by emerging Churches to world evangelization, demands a more holistic and strategic approach.

What is SCPI's role?

BROKER: Our role is to introduce potential partners to each other. Our job, in this most important relationship, is to aid them in relentlessly pursuing their common God-given vision.

CONSULTANT: We desire to help partners be effective in evangelizing their own circle of accountability, find a cross-cultural partner practicing the same accountability, and develop a well defined relationship that will result in the evangelization of a whole city, people, region, or nation.

FRIEND: Our desire is to be a trustworthy friend to both parties, assisting them in building and maintaining their partnership.

DIRECT EXTENSION of your purpose. For those churches who embrace their God given purpose, it is our job to enable them to effectively telescope their vision to another place in the world.
